I'm wondering if it's okay to buy a regular USB 3.0 cable and use it for the Quest?
I don't want to spend another 100.00 EUR on the link cable right now.
What difference does it make in terms of graphics and battery usage if I buy a USB 3.0 cable for EUR 15.00?

Hey there, @DackJanielsOri, and thank you so much for reaching out to the community with this question! We love the performance boost that Link and Air Link provide to the VR experience, so we are totally behind helping you find the best way for you to experience it. First, The Meta Quest Link Cable is a 5 meter optical fiber USB 3 Gen 1 Type-C to Type-C cable. and while there are many 3rd party cables available on the market that work for Link just fine, we can always recommend using the Link cable from our store as we know for certain that is meets or exceeds the needed specifications for Link. It's not so much the power transfer, to be honest power transfer is minimal to negligible when the headset is it use, it's more the data throughput volume, and "cleanliness" of that data that tends to become an issue when things aren't working. Make certain that when looking at 3rd party options that you avoid needing to use any adapters to connect, and that the cable meets or exceeds the requirements outlined here:
High quality optical fiber, at least 3 meters for comfort and mobility but not exceeding 5 meters for best performance, and no adaption will give you the best environment for it to perform. We hope you find a solution that works out great for you!
