So I just got the Oculus Rift S for christmas, and I tried to run it with my laptop(windows 11) (hp victus 16-e0 series). However, I don't have any display port on it, so I am forced to use an adaptor display port female to usb c male. The main problem is that, according to my nvidia control panel, my usb c port is linked to my integrated graphics card. Thus, whenever I run anything in VR, it uses the integrated GPU, without the main one being ever taken into account. I am sure of that, as on the task manager, it shows you which GPU is being used to simulate 3D models. Also, I have a classic rift, which I can plug into my HDMI port easily, and it runs perfectly, using my main graphic card (Nvidia GTX 1650). I tried deactivating my integrated GPU, but it then simply didn't recognize the USB C connection. I couldn't find any settings allowing me to change whatever my USB C port is connected to. Did I simply miss it ? Also, does anyone know if it would work if I bought a display port to hdmi adaptor ? I saw some, but they all look weird and have a supporting usb A cable, so I don't know if the oculus will accept it. Thank you for your time.

Hello, @Chimarae. We see you're having trouble managing your rift; we understand that this isn't ideal, so we're going to do everything we can to get you back up and running. You can use Windows to manually assign which GPU is used by a specific process.
This should have little to no side effects. To do so:
If this does not help you find a solution, please let us know so that we can try different system settings.

Unfortunately, if your usb-c port is wired into your igpu then there is nothing you can do about this and you won't be able to use it with any DP headset (like pretty well all are now). Also, it's not possible to convert hdmi to DP because of bandwidth restrictions.
You laptop gtx1650 is going to be too weak for decent PCVR anyway imho. Maybe consider building/buying a much better desktop gaming pc in the future with recommended specs (not minimum specs). Cheers.

@RIRI83400 Make sure you go into your nvidia control panel 3d global settings and on the top of this panel select to use your high performance nvidia gpu. Otherwise it may be trying to use your cpu-integrated igpu.
Also, make sure your windows and nvidia drivers are up to date.
Laptops can be a bit hit and miss. If you cannot sort this out yourself, contact Meta support I guess.
