Hi Good People, My quest 2 will not link to the PC Meta quest link software with either air link or cable. PC exceeds required spec and using USB 3.
The headset says it's connected with a good solid connection. The Meta quest link software says it's connected with a good solid connection......but when I attempt to link the headset I get the white {non spinning) logo on a black background that doesn't go anywhere. I also get a notification "Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article"......when I click on the link it takes me to a very unhelpful Meta Quest sales/advert page.
I've rebooted, updated, unplugged, uninstalled, reinstalled, checked network connections, reset to factory settings, rolled back Nvidia drivers, checked USB connections and setup, troubleshooted network connections............and read just about every help page and post.
As a stand alone headset everything seems to work including remote desktop and cast.
I bought this unit to play Microsoft flightsim and Elite Dangerous.......I cannot do what I bought the headset for so as far as I'm concerned the headset is now useless.
Reading other posts I understand that this issue is not unheard of.....are there any known answers to the problem? or is there anything I haven't checked?
Solved. This was a fresh install of Windows 10. Visual C++ Redist was missing...... Doh.....My bad.
