Hi! I have been trying to delete my meta account that I initially made to use the Meta Quest headset. It is linked to my Facebook account and I wish to decouple the two, so I have been trying to delete the Meta account.
However, when I try to do so, it asks me to log in with the Meta account's credentials (I don't remember setting a separate password for this Meta account).
I do not have these credentials, so I have been trying to do a password reset on this Meta account. However, every time it says it has sent my email a confirmation code, nothing has been received on my end, including in my spam folders/filters.
I have not been successfully getting any codes from Meta/Facebook to the email associated with this Meta account, including when I have tried to reset or change other things that require an email confirmation code.
Does anyone have any solutions or could someone from the Meta team create a ticket for me to resolve this?
Also, when I try to change password for my Meta account directly from accounts center (instead of being prompted during the delete process), it says my Meta account is accessed by my FB credentials and needs a new password. However, it tries to send a confirmation code to allow me to create a new password but I do not receive that confirmation code either.
Did you find any solution? I'm having the exact same problem. Can't delete Facebook and when I try to set up a password for the Meta account, I don't receive any email. I'm stuck
