Unable to add Payment Method

I can t add any credit card to my account. I tried 6 different credit card master, visa, American Express and debit. No luck. I couldn’t buy any thing for 1 year. Is this Facebook Oculus!!! Why you bought oculus!!! To make more harder to serve oculus services!!! That is enough for me. Just solve my problem. You have big problems but no one can see these and no one try to solve it on your team!!!!

 

different computers, different networks, different credit card types AND NO LUCK TO ADD NEW PAYMENT METHOD.

They are solved my problem with these error screen shots.

 

When open support ticket, you have to tell them to provide these question answers;

 

  • Recently made a successful online purchase from a US merchant?
  • Check to see if the financial institution placed any restrictions
  • Try another network connection type
  • Try another network location
  • Try different combinations of the area/zip code
  • Restart the device
  • Try another device
  • Try another payment method

 

I recommend that you send the answers to these questions in your first ticket message to reach a quick solution. My problem solved in two weeks. I don't know why I get this error. They did not explained anything to why occurs this problem.

 

I hope anyone can solve who gets these error messages. Now, i can add payment methods to my account.

As you see, this is your fault. I have created some tickets but no response. My credit cards added to my friends oculus account as normal. There isnt any problem with my bank. Just can't add it those card to my oculus account!!!!

I’m experiencing the same issue. Bought my Oculus 3 days ago and haven’t been able to add a card. I’ve tried all of the methods recommended by support such as using a credit/debit/paypal account, different device (laptop,phone,oculus) different internet connections, and still nothing. After scouring support forums to hopefully find a solution I’ve only found others with the same issue. Quite disappointed with my purchase so far, I know it is a great system but not if you can’t buy any games within it. If you happen to find any solutions or the support team fixes it for you please come back and let us know in the comments.

But they don't solve anything. There isn't any response on any tickets. I don't understand how Facebook can do this!!!

 

Facebook began to be incapable of moving the companies it bought such as Microsoft forward. They also talk about metaquest. You could not solve the credit card issue, metaquest will be a burden to you.

Please tell me how you solved the problem, I can't add a payment method and this means no games, I'm so frustrated.

Hello, we noticed that you are experiencing trouble with adding payment method. We do not want you to feel that you are alone on this matter or being ignored. We've got you covered. If you haven't done so already, let's try carefully following the instructions below to add your new payment method to your PC or mobile phone. 

 

To add or remove a payment method using the Oculus app on your computer:

  1. Open the Oculus app on your PC.
  2. Select Settings in the left menu.
  3. Select the Payment tab.
  4. Click the Add Payment Method dropdown menu.
  5. Select either Credit or Debit Card or PayPal Account.
  6. Enter your payment info to add your payment method. To remove a payment method, click Remove next to the applicable card or PayPal account.

To add a payment method using the Oculus app on your phone:

  1. Open the Oculus app on your phone.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top left.
  3. Tap Payment Methods.
  4. Tap Add a credit or debit card or Add a PayPal account.
  5. Enter your payment info to add your payment method.

These methods are not valid for us. This problem occurs with facebook account. Because I created new facebook account and I was able to add payment method to Oculus. BUT I don't want to use another facebook account. I prefer to use my real facebook account.

 

I opened ticket and waiting for response. I will be share the real solution if my ticket solved.

So... I should create another account?

I created new facebook account and logged in to oculus.com and it worked.

 

But I don't want to use new Facebook account, so I'm waiting their ticket response. If I get any response, I'll reply to this thread. Lots of people here for this issue that searcing real solution.

Okay now Oculus is telling me to access with my Oculus account but I don't remember the password, and when I ask to recover it, it says I have to access with facebook and I'm stuck in a loop.

I'm starting hate this.
