Unable to add account to quest 2

tirano
Honored Guest

When I try to add a secondary account to my quest 2 I get an error "no Wi-Fi connection" this is while Wi-Fi is connected and working great on all apps and games.

After successfully connecting to  connect other working Wi-Fi connections like sharing my phone's Internet  connection.

Tried reboot of the device multiple times.

Thanks!

Hi @tirano! Thank you for sharing this experience with us. We certainly understand how important it is to get everything set up smoothly, and we'd be happy to help clear up the connection. To give us a better idea of what you're working with, we listed a couple questions for you below:

  • Are you using a dual-band router?
    • If so, have you ensured the phone and the headset are on the same frequency?
  • Are you able to check or confirm the Wi-Fi network from the mobile app?
    1. Turn on your Meta Quest and put on your headset.
    2. Select Settings from the bottom toolbar menu.
    3. Select Wi-Fi.
    4. Select the Wi-Fi network you'd like to connect to.
    5. If prompted, enter the password for the Wi-Fi network you'd like to connect to.
    6. Select Connect to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
  • Were you able to complete creating the secondary account once you connected the headset to your phone's internet connection?

Hi meta, I am having the same problem, but I do not have a hotspot that is currently usable, is there anything else I could do to fix this issue?
