Unable to cast from Quest 2 to different types of tablets

Since a short time, more tablets are having problems with the Meta Quest app Casting. I used to have no problem casting my Quest2 screen on the Galaxy Tab S8 SM-X700. Now the cast is only a quarter of the tab's screen, with no stretching or scaling options.

Trying to do the same thing with a different tablet just shows a black screen on that tablet.
The casting problem on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 SM-T500 that I described here:

 
Changed and now the A7 SM-T500 won't connect to the cast via the Meta Quest app. 
All the tablets use the same account as my Quest2 and the same wifi connection. The effect is the same whether I use Oculus/Casting in the tablet browser or the MetaQuest app on the tablets.
 
When I use my Galaxy M13 phone I can cast just fine. Is there a way to cast correctly on different tablets with the MetaQuest app?

Hi @VagantB! We hope you're having a phenomenal day today and thank you for bringing this up to our attention! Luckily, we do have a couple of troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix this casting issue. If you haven't already please try these following steps:

  • Uninstall the mobile app/ reinstall
  • Lower the graphics settings in the app, if possible.
  • Cast from another app (Netflix, Spotify, YouTube)
  • Power cycle the headset and establish casting immediately before launching any other apps

We've seen these steps help people out in the past with the same issue you're having. We're hoping that they will do the same for you. Unfortunately, the problem has not yet been solved.
 
Reinstalling the Meta Quest app has not changed anything.
 
Casting does not work correctly for all apps that I start via the Quest2.
Setting different graphics settings in the glasses does not help. 
 
I cast Youtube on the Tablet that just works fine.
 
Launching after starting the Quest also has no effect. 
 
The Problem is within the Meta Quest App not stretching the resolution on the screen of the tablet correctly or not connecting to other tablets.

Is this still being discussed here or should I open another issue?

Have you attempted to use a different network, such as a hotspot. Please give this a try and let us know if it does the trick for you. I have tried using the tablets on different networks.
The problem is that the Galaxy Tab S8 shows the "wrong" solution in the MetaQuest app. (The Oculus 2 cast is only shown in a quarter of the tablet.) I think a developer needs to check how the image is stretched for tablets in the MetaQuest app because it works correctly on smartphones.

We do feel that reporting this issue to the developers would be the next best option after all of the troubleshooting that has been provided so far.
