Unable to click on desktop using Oculus Quest 2

Currently, I have been experiencing difficulty in using my controllers with my desktop. I am able to connect my headset to the quest link, but there is no interaction when it comes to my desktop applications; I simply cannot use my controllers to click, drag, or drop anything.

In addition, when I try downloading developer, I am asked to set up two-factor authorization, which I could do, except for the part where I am to send a code to my phone number, but nothing is sent. Nor is anything sent to my email address.

I am trying to get my Quest 2 working on my school computer, but I have had such a hard time getting this working, considering the enterprise computers require me to have IT help me sign in to download packages for Meta and Unity. Still, I am unable to fix the controller problem or even the problem when I try opening projects in Unity using my headset. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I would really appreciate feedback to get me on my way to a better experience with Quest 2, Quest Link, and VR interaction capabilities in Unity.
