I have tried your solution this morning.
The mobile app indicates the my Quest 3 is connected; the Developer Settings indicates that the Debug Mode is ‘ON’.
The Headset is connected to my iMac; Settings / System / Developer / USB Link Auto-Connect is ‘ON’.
The Meta Quest Developer Hub / Device Manager / Meta Quest 3 is ’Not Connected.
What have I missed?

Hey there, @ian.sloman. We know getting started within the Developer Hub is exciting, so we'd love to make sure you're all set to continue exploring new ideas within VR. Just to confirm, we do want to make sure the following steps have been completed when getting things set up:

  1. Put on the Meta Quest headset and sign into the developer account you want to use for development.
  2. On the headset, go to Settings > System > Developer, and then turn on the USB Connection Dialog option. (Alternatively, you can open the Meta Quest Mobile App, select the headset from the list, and then turn on the Developer Mode option See Set Up Development Environment and Headset for information on the Oculus mobile app.
  3. Connect the headset to the computer using a USB-C cable and put on the headset again.
  4. Click Allow when prompted to allow access to data.
  5. Connect your headset to the computer using a USB-C cable and wear the headset.
  6. Accept Allow USB Debugging and Always allow from this computer when prompted on the headset.
  7. Open MQDH.
  8. On the MQDH navigation pane, choose Device Manager. All the devices you have set up are displayed in the main pane. Each device is shown with its status, which includes the device ID and connection status. The active device shows the green Active designator.

Once confirmed, let's also test how your headset connects to the PCVR app. From there, we'll continue working to get you connected!

  • Quick question, when you attempted to perform troubleshooting steps on your in, did you make sure to disable developer mode and then restart the headset before continuing troubleshooting?
  • Have you attempted to use a different USB C cable to connect to the Quest 3 device?

Since updating MQDH to version 5.0.0, I've been experiencing the same issue. I tried deleting that version and reverting, but the problem persists - it just won't recognize Quest 3. I've followed all your suggestions and double-checked everything, but nothing seems to work 😞
