Unable to connect quest 2 to pc

So when i try to connect my quest 2 to my pc via air link it doesn't connect whatsoever. When i click on my pc nothing happens and on the meta quest link app i get a notification that says una

Hi there, @Coyotos2677! Thanks so much for bringing your experience to the community. We know how going wireless really changes the game, and we'd be glad to lend a hand! To start us off, we have a few things to check with you:

 

  • Is your PC connected to your router via Ethernet cable?
  • Are your headset and PC connected to your WiFi via the 5GHz band? 
  • Is your router in the same room as your headset, or in line of sight, and at least 1m (3.3ft) off the ground?
  • Are you using a mesh network, wireless extenders, the default gateway from your service provider, or a password on your network?
  • Do you use a VPN on your router or PC?

I had symptoms about two days ago
You have not changed any settings.
All I did was update the VR+PC meta app device.
The settings are the same as they were in the past.

Hi there, @peacewalk113! Thanks for confirming that information and providing those additional details! Have you already attempted re-pairing Air Link via the steps below?

 

  • In Quest headset:
    • Navigate to the Settings menu
    • Ensure "Air Link" is disabled/toggled off
  • Restart both the Quest and the PC, and re-pair the Quest to the PC via the set-up steps.
