Unable to connect to PEAP college WIFI due to missing option. Any solutions?

I am an indie game developer and a college grad. I was only today old starting my venture into VR development. Unfortunately it wasn't a pleasant experience as I was facing bugs (from brightness flickering, to keyboard reception to menu drop down instability).

These issues were insignificant but now I am facing the predicament of being unable to connect to the college wifi  PEAP connection as the only option appearing for CA certificate is "use system certificate" or "install certificate". The option "Do not validate" is not present unlike with previous android versions. Please provide a solutions to this issue or an update patch to fix this problem. Without this option it has become a tedious and cumbersome process to access the web. Also the mobile app qr method does not work obviously.

Update:

I figured out how to connect to the wifi without accessing the system IT portal. This problem is not only for the oculus but all newly updated android 11 and over devices including smart phones. They have effectively removed the 'do not validate' option so org with 802.1x WiFi networks; old legacy EAP methods (such as PEAP and EAP-TTLS) are at a disadvantage. 

Anyways here is my solution to this issue. On windows PC or laptop already connected to the college wifi.

- Type MMC into start and run as Admin > File > Add / Remove Snap-in > Double-click Certificates > Service Account > Local Computer > WLAN AutoConfig > Press Finish > Exit pane by pressing OK

- Expand left pane certificates (under console roots) > WlanSvc\Intermediate Certification > Certificates > Right click Root Agency > All Tasks > Export > Next > DER encoded > Browse and save .cer file in preferred destination and preferred name > Press Next > Press Finish.

- Connect Oculus via a mobile data connection (I know I know you have to spend some money a metered private connection but take the blame to Meta for not allowing file transfer on the go without enabling dev mode and for that you need an internet to boot it up). Make sure you have a meta account and then follow this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4WvIpYlie4 to enable developer mode so you can transfer files to oculus. This is an important step. Connect Oculus to PC or laptop via usb cable and transfer the .cer certificate file you created their.

- Set up network as per usual but instead of "Online Certificate Status: Do not validate" Choose Install Certificate > Find the exported certificate.cer you named on your oculus destination and install > click the cert status list again and select the cert you just installed > enter your login credentials. Keep anonymous identity empty > Connect and voila! it should work.

Yes it's complicated but it should work and it's a one-time procedure as this certificate .cer file can be used as many times as you can for other devices that have this issue. Feel free to ask any questions or dm me. Cheers and good luck to all your deventures.

One workaround is to manually install your college's CA certificate. You can usually find it on your college’s IT support page. Download it to your device and install it via "install certificate" in your WiFi settings. This might help bypass the issue.
