Unable to follow people or message them.

I've been getting incredibly stressed lately as people I previously followed and that followed me back were not showing up in mutuals. When I search up their names [The problem consists of 3 people], I can only view their profile and am unable to message nor follow them.

There is absolutely no reason why this should be the case as we followed each other. I have confirmed that at least one person does have their fb linked as do I so that shouldn't be the problem. Meta seems to have absolutely no information related to a case like this so I hope not to get directed anywhere and just receive a decent solution if there is one.

Genuinely i have somewhat of the same problem. My oculus keeps blocking my significant for no reason, We both have our accounts linked and every time we leave call, It blocks him right away and I would have to unblock him and follow him again. Now it's not letting him follow me.

Im having an issue where im trying to friend my friend and the follow button is locked and so as the chat button.  I already tried everything the dude listed

Hey there, @Ri_Quaza! We know how important it is to be able to follow friends, so let's see how we can help you get this figured out!

Please restarting your VR headset then try the following on it:

Press / on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
Select   People, then select Search.
Enter their username or first and last name.
Select   Follow next to the profile you want to follow.

After doing the above are any of the buttons still locked? If you are still having some trouble, please send us a private message. Please select our name to get to our profile page, or click here. This also happened to me, I unblocked my friend but it still says blocked and I’m unable to text/call them on oculus

Since you've already unblocked them, let's see if a reboot will help the change reflect.

VR Headset Reboot Steps:

• Turn off your headset.
• Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
• Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Boot Device and press the power button.
• Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
