Unable to pair with Pc using Airlink on Meta Quest 2

I have a problem with my airlink pairing to my computer. My computer shows up but is unable to pair, this has never happened before and there is an unusual symbol beside my computers name that I will share here. Here’s a list of things I have tried, 

pinging my headset, it worked proving it has some signal to my computer

rebooting both.

updating my pc, headset, and the app.

using link cable, it didn’t work and keeps me on a black screen.

even factory reset both my pc and headset.IMG_3192.jpeg

We see that you're having issues with the airlink and link cable not connecting to your PC. We understand that this is not the experience you were hoping for. We do have a few questions for you to answer for us; this way, we can gather details and provide some troubleshooting steps if needed.

 

  • When was the last time you were able to use the airlink with no issues? When did the issues start?
  • Are your drivers up-to-date?
  • Can you confirm that all cables are properly plugged into the PC in the right ports as well?
  • Is the network set up correctly?
  • Are both devices connected to the same network?

We highly suggest that your router be in the same room as your devices. You can also try to disable Airlink through Settings. Once it is disabled, restart both the Quest and the PC and re-pair the Quest to the PC, following these steps here.
