My specs: Windows 10, 256gb Quest 2, USB-A to USB-C cable to my PC, file size ranges from 8GB-20GB
I have over 70GB available in my Quest 2 but I'm unable to transfer large MP4 video files (all of which are >9GB) to it. I have developer mode enabled with USB debugging activated and I can't directly transfer the files over on my PC nor with Sidequest. The transfer reaches 100% but the file does not appear in my Oculus with both methods.
Several people have posted about this issue on Reddit very recently as well, some of them noted that a factory reset did not fix the issue so I have not and will not try that.

This was fixed in v60.
I'm now on v62 with both my Quest 3 and Quest Pro, just tested copying 5 large files to each headset and it works fine.
Also, prior to the v60 fix, I posted a work-around that lets you copy files wirelessly using ftp which is still a good workable option but not necessary now. See my post in this thread dated 23rd November.
What cable are you using? what software version are you on?
Edit: I like the Deux Ex reference by the way!

Windows PC? I find if you open the folder on the PC and right-click on the file and pick "copy" or "move" from the context menu then open the Movies folder on the Quest 2 and right click in the folder and "paste" is more reliable than dragging and dropping.

Thanks for the suggestion but that didn't work either, and yeah I'm on Win 10.
What was strange though was that I was able to place 1 of 3 MP4 files into a directory within the Movies folder by dragging & dropping but not any more even though I had more than enough space.
Afterwards I was able to get the other 2 in by freeing up a bunch of space so now the files I wanted are on my Quest 2 but it still has the problem of acting like I don't have enough space when I try to copy a >8GB file over even though I now have >100GB freed up. I also don't seem to have problems sticking the smaller videos that I freed up earlier back in, each around 3-4GB, so I have no idea what's going on.

I noticed at times Windows 10 seems the "think" there is a lot less space free on my Quest 2 than what the Storage app on the headset. For instance I deleted a folder of some videos (in the headset not via Windows) then reuploaded via Link Cable and the copy ran out of room with several videos left to go.

This is major bug. I used to copy 30+ gb single video file without any error . But yesterday after the software update i am unable to copy single file more than 15 gb. I genuinely think this is because of the latest quest 2 software update. I have tried copying files using Mac os, using different cables, using different ports (usb3 and above, usb c) but same result.

The only solution is to split the video file with maximum single file size would be 15 gb or less at this point.

This definitely a bug that the latest update caused. It would be great if we could go back to older more functional updates. I don't know if they will acknowledge it and fix it or if its a built in obsolescence issue so that you are going to be forced to use some service they are planning on pushing through.
