My specs: Windows 10, 256gb Quest 2, USB-A to USB-C cable to my PC, file size ranges from 8GB-20GB
I have over 70GB available in my Quest 2 but I'm unable to transfer large MP4 video files (all of which are >9GB) to it. I have developer mode enabled with USB debugging activated and I can't directly transfer the files over on my PC nor with Sidequest. The transfer reaches 100% but the file does not appear in my Oculus with both methods.
Several people have posted about this issue on Reddit very recently as well, some of them noted that a factory reset did not fix the issue so I have not and will not try that.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Where will they let everyone know so I'll know where to be looking?

Great question! Once they let us know any update we will let forums know. Or even our social medias!

Got this response from meta support today.
"This is something our Engineering team is already looking into actively, I will be keeping your ticket with me and will let you know once we have updates."

Come on do something meta support, it's ridiculous to not even be able to transfer big files

Why this post is marked as 'Solved'?

Thanks for bringing that to our attention, the reason for this Accepted Solution is to inform others who may view this thread that we are aware of this issue.
We're still waiting to hear details on this matter from the engineering team, but we'll be sure to update everyone as soon as we have more information and update the Accepted Solution with that information as well!

This makes the devices useless. I have 0 reason to not sell this device and go get a pico neo 4. I used to be able to do this fix it fast or im dumping the quest.

I appreciate the update from a Support member after it was already marked Solved but I really don't think this post should've been marked as that. It means what it means and the issue is far from fixed. Honestly, it just comes off as trying to hide an issue which is frankly ridiculous since the Get Help section is already so terrible for finding and promoting existing issues. There are posts of parents complaining about their children being harassed on Gorilla Tag amongst legitimate issues like this one...
For everyone else: I was asked earlier by the Support guys to factory reset my device to see if a fix they put out helped but it didn't do anything; at least it seems like something's being looked into. I'm also able to get large MP4 files onto my Quest 2 by trying multiple times. All the little voodoo tricks people mention to get the file over successfully seems to just be them repeating what they tried when it randomly worked. After multiple tries I'm usually able to get files in but who knows, maybe that will stop happening after a certain point in my storage space (I still have ~100GB of a 256GB model left).

This is absolutely ridiculous! How long does it take to fix such a simple issue? Meta get on with it!

There is another thread, marked as solved, but this is for from solved. Fix it now please Meta or I am switching to a competitors product. Thanks.
