Unticking Interleaved + Async Reprojection Boxes in SteamVR (Rift Users)

Took the below screen shots which seem to suggest that for Rift users, unticking the Interleaved + Async Reprojection boxes in Steam VR (https://i.imgur.com/38uC0Gz.png) does nothing for Rift users:

In the bottom 2 screen shots ATW and ASW are doing their thing in the Oculus HUD and cutting the 'App Frame Rate' to 45hz, and the SS settings I chose have put the 'Performance Headroom' in the Oculus HUD in to negative values.

Assuming SteamVR is where the Advanced Settings app pulls its data from, I would have thought that with the Interleaved + Async Reprojection boxes TICKED in SteamVR then Advanced Settings would show global 'Dropped' and 'Reprojected' frames.  But it shows zero.

Also with Steam VR's Performance graph included it looks like SteamVR isn't actually dropping frames, even at 4.0 Super Sampling in Steam VR.  Looks like the Oculus SDK is taking the hit instead:

Can anyone else confirm?
