Upcoming 4k res hmd from Lenovo - VR700 - design looks Rift-S inspired

This has been out some days - I'm not really into these seemingly low-end hmds (*cough! pico4*), but this did catch my eye a little, looks like Lenovo kept the design from Rift-S?

This is the Rift-S, also designed by Lenovo:

If it ain't broken... 😉 My old eyes still can't see any headphones 😬

I doubt that Lenovo will start their own content store, so they'll prey on Steam for content? So just another hmd to play the same games? 🤔...

It'll have to be very cheap to be interesting - unless Lenovo got some surprises up their sleeves, I doubt that.

More info here - or lack of, lol:

That's because Oculus doesn't really own the rights to their "looks" it was just a license deal.. that's why they can look pretty close to the same. Future headsets will also be doing the same going forward as they release new information.

That's why I always laugh when people say Quest 2 was being sold under cost - it wasnt ... the only one that was - was the Quest 1. The over all cost of the Quest 2 was cheaper to produce than what the Quest 1 took.

Seems like Lenovo is quite active these days, their new ThinkReality VRX hmd looks a lot like a Quest Pro - also using pancake lenses:
