Update Killed my Quest 3S

I believe it may be time to finally toss this device off an airplane. It has been acting up over the past few months. I've experienced everything from Worlds not being fully rendered; games glitching; being forced to reboot the headset after visiting each World, because the next World won't launch property until I do so; easily cracked plastic casing; crashing apps ... the list goes on. Recently, however, the headset loads to a black screen, requiring me to press again the power button to view the screen. I suppose I should have seen this coming when I first started noticing "uninstalled" apps in my pinned and recently opened apps section of the Universal Menu. I found others with the same problem and no solution, so I let it go, as it appeared to be only an aesthetic issue for me. But, unfortunately, that was just the beginning. A hard reboot - the first of a couple advisements from Meta's support pages regarding the black screen issue - did not solve the problem. The second advisement suggested sideloading an update but, when I tried to access the boot menu, it kept disappearing the moment I released the power and volume down button, so I was unable to scroll to the sideloading option. Then, while trying to make another attempt, the device suddenly started downloading an update. And this, folks, leads to the LAST STRAW. Following the update, I now can no longer boot the device at all. No boot screen, no black screen, no nothing.
