My Gear VR is currently totally useless, won't even start up. I get "Update Required" and after clicking "Update now" and watching the rolling circle for a minute or two it goes back to "Update Required". I am unable to navigate away from the page using the links on the menu.
I have the same problem and I guess there is no fix for this issue. I see that you reported this in July and here it is September 21 and not responses. Not for sure what to do.
