I am reaching out in desperation regarding my hacked Instagram account and would greatly appreciate your assistance. It seems that the Instagram help team is unresponsive to user issues, which has left me feeling frustrated and helpless.
My account was hacked, resulting in the hacker changing my email and enabling two-factor authentication. Additionally, they unlinked my Instagram from my Facebook account and linked their own Meta account instead.
The main issue is that the Instagram help center leads me in circles, taking me back to the same pages regardless of what I do, whether on my phone or desktop. When I attempt to use the app on my phone, it takes me to a selfie verification screen, but instead of opening the camera, it prompts me for my email. After entering my email, I am met with another endless loading loop in the app.
I have also completed an online form and emailed Instagram, but I received four identical responses from a bot stating that my information was insufficient. I have provided my face verification, phone number, and alternative email—how is this not enough for them to investigate? A quick check of the logs would clearly show the issue I've been facing.
I'm feeling quite desperate as there seems to be no one available to discuss this matter, especially given its GDPR-sensitive nature in the EU.
