Using Rift is causing my computer to abruptly shut off

I have a similar problem.  When using an Oculus Rift CV2, my computer will suddenly shut down.  It seems to happen randomly. Screen goes black. The power light goes out.  After 3 seconds, the computer powers up and re-boots.  It can take over one hour to completely reboot.  Screen message says it is installing updates and features.  Subsequent boot ups will take as long as 30 minutes.  Chkdsk /r/f does not find any bad sectors or files.  Virus scans find nothing.  SFC /scannow, does seem to fix something and I can shorten the bootup to 12 minutes.  The only VR apps I run are VR Chat and Sansar.  It can happen in either.  Windows 10, Oculus software and all drivers are up to date.  I monitor CPU temp with HWInfo.  No high temps.  It has happened with both Nvidia and AMD video cards.

My Computer:  Full Tower.  Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V.  CPU: i7-3770.  Memory: 24GB DDR3.  GPU: Nvidia GTX-1080.  P/S: Corsair HX850.  HDD: Seagate 500GB (OS and Apps) and 2TB Western Digital (Data), both 3.5 inch mechanical.   OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit 22H2.
