So recently i had a problems with my quest pro controllers when i got them it took a while to connect them but it worked with my quest 2, after that i noticed something weird with my gameplay my controllers were reappearing and disappearing in some situations it ruins my gameplay while playing and i tried to reboot them and disconnect them and they still have this issue although it sometimes loses tracking with good lighting in the room and when it disconnects it doesn’t say it disconnects it the meta quest notifications.

It's a known issue with V65 borking the WiFi firmware, (initial setups are also buggy as a result).

The issue is actually with the software in the headset rather than the controllers.

There's been no official statement about a resolution but they're apparently acknowledging it.

Some people are saying V66 PTC fixes it, but it seems to be a 50/50 split and YMMV, apparently V66 stable is being rolled out soon.

I could dream forever, and never stop. I could think of life and beauty, the stars that fade in the sky. The hearts of lovers, the dreams of dreamers.

Hey there @DarkOfTheSide! We'd love to help you with your Quest Pro controllers! Since their disconnecting hasn't been resolved with your rebooting them or unpairing and repairing them, we'd like to recommend Factory Resetting them:

  1. Right Controller: Hold A and Oculus buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white. Left Controller: Hold X and Menu buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white.
  2. Release the buttons immediately after the LED begins blinking red/white.
  3. Perform a manual pairing and check if controller LED would flash blue and white to signal pairing state.
  4. Once paired, controllers may take a while to update and stay unresponsive until they finish, and LED would be purple during the update.

Hats off to you @MrScottBull! We really appreciate your pointing our that v66 is currently rolling out, so we hope that combining a Factory Reset with this new version will do the trick!

Yes, thanks for pointing this out i was in V65 but there was no update available for V66 so i manually force updated the headseat instead of waiting till meta rolling the updates out to fix the issue.

Also after you finish updating the headseat you need to update the controllers firmware. it is still usable but every time you open up the headseat it’s gonna alert you to update the firmware just by going to the meta quest app devices - headseat settings - controllers. disconnect the controllers one by one then repair them and the process of repairing the controllers it’s gonna saying updating the firmware give it a minute then it’s gonna update successfully.

Thank you for providing that update @DarkOfTheSide! Hopefully this was able to get you fixed up, but if you still have issues, please let us know and we will continue to work with you in getting this resolved.

Any improvement since updating?

My hheadsethasnt got V66 yet, however I'm not in the US, which I assume gets it first.

Also a shame, how to manually force a controller update, they have to be unsynced and then resynced, there should be an option to do it within the headset settings.

Cheers for the Kudos and solution mark, my fine peeps.😊

Yes they did improve my problem!

you have to search up in youtube how to force update for your headseat you will need a pc and a wire to connect both headseat and pc

It’s impossible for v66 to fix my controller because V65 made it unable to pair, meaning I can’t update it. Support has NOT been helpful so far…
