After the forced V65 update (on my Quest 3) the ambient sounds in ALL my Virtual Environments are gone after returning from any app ! The sounds are there when the headset is first started. But, after watching a YouTube video or playing a game when I go back to my custom environment all the ambient sounds from that space are gone. If I go to settings and select a different Virtual Environment the sounds associated with them are gone as well. The ONLY WAY to get them back is to reboot the Headset and not load an app. that takes me out of the Custom Environment. I did not have this problem with v64.
(Which is the version I had when I first got my Headset.)
This realy breaks the mood of the space and is an obvious bug.

OK, I figured it out, it's the YouTube app that breaks the ambient sounds in all the Virtual Spaces.
After using the YouTube app, that came with my Quest 3, Virtual Space sounds are gone. The only way to get them back is to reboot the headset. It's the YouTube app. that's the problem.....

Can you let us know if the audio also drops when using headphones? And if you haven't already, we'd really appreciate it if you would Report a problem on Meta Quest to our product development team in the meantime.

Thank you so much for letting us know! I will go ahead and mark this for the solution for other to see. If Youtube App has some sort of bug reports on their website we can def submit this issue for them to look at this.
