VR Chat Error "Oculus platform error during user proof check timeout during fetching DSAT"

IceJellie

VRChat for some reason keeps giving me that error and it won't load after that. I can't even press the "Okay" button. Is this an issue that many people are experiencing, or is it just me? The error then proceeds by saying that I need to use a PC and a cable to play VRChat with quest link. I've done that and I can play it, but the point is that I want to play VRChat without my PC so I can play anywhere, and this error keeps blocking me from doing that. Is there a fix to this issue? if so how? (I've tried reinstalling, using my phone hotspot, restarting the device)

I don't know if you still have this problem but I did to and I fixed it. I downloaded vrchat on my PC, made sure my world and avatar where vr compatable. Then I opened vrchat through my phone on the oculus app and it worked. I changed my wifi and reset my headset to. Hope this helps

Finally, I found a method that would be reproducible!
I tried a solution that others have had success with and it worked! (without pc)
Here's how

Press the power and volume buttons at the same time for 15 seconds and wait for the android character to appear. (In my case it came out with the word “no command”)
Then do the same thing again.
Finally, restart vrchat.

I did this and it fixed it! If it cured you too, please spread the way as a reproducible method! Have a nice VR life!

(Thank you for found the solution Soadling2.0)

Hey @IceJellie! We completely understand it is not ideal being unable to hop right on and enjoy the amazing world of VR. We are here to help out with the issues you are experiencing. From the information you have to us we see you've already tried a few steps to come to a conclusion. VRchat has a version for Meta Quest, and also a PCVR version. You may be experiencing a network restriction, we suggest first trying to reconnect to another network connection/hotspot again if possible. Another thing could be your home world in VRchat may be set to a PC world only. We hope the information given helps you fix the issues you are experiencing, if not please reach back out to us!

Hi, yeah I tried using my mobile hotspot and it didn't work. My home world is also set to the default world, so it couldn't be that I tried connecting to a PC-only world.

Yea the same thing is happening to me in the past hour. I did the same tips meta said as well. I don't know what to do now.

Hey there, @ffsdfsdfs.2023! We see you're also reporting the same error message as @IceJellie, and we absolutely want to do our best to get to the bottom of this issue! To clarify with you both, is this the only app on your headset having these issues? Is your headset and Meta Quest mobile app completely up to date with the newest software? Also, have you tried launching this app directly from your library in the Meta Quest mobile app? Please keep us updated and we can continue from there!

Hi, I just tried it, but still, it didn't work. But does the Meta Quest mobile app have any effect on the games or apps on the headset? (just asking)

Thanks for giving that a shot, IceJellie. To answer your question, the Meta Quest mobile app doesn't store games or game saves. It is mostly for logging in and account features.

Have you already attempted to disable the Air Link functionality? Air Link issues can sometimes be resolved by completely disabling the function and rebooting the device. If you haven't, please follow the steps below to ensure the process is completed properly:

  • In your Quest headset:
    • Navigate to the Settings menu.
    • Ensure "Air Link" is disabled/toggled off.
  • Restart both the Quest and the PC, and re-pair the Quest to the PC following these set-up steps.

We look forward to your reply! Please let us know if there is any additional information we can provide.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, I gave up trying to play VR chat independently on quest 😅
