VR "blackout" issues

So this has been happening to me an awful lot, randomly when playing VR, it suddenly blacks out, but I can still hear the audio, but I cant see anything, and after a few seconds, my VR turns off by itself. I cant fix this issue temporarily unless I disable the tracking by covering the cameras and uncovering them until it resets. Its been getting quite annoying because it often causes problems like audio and stuff, and I cant figure out how to permanently fix it. Help?

Hey there, @Just.A.Grunt381! Having your headset go black and turn off while in the middle of your game time is not fun, and we want to help make sure you can get back to gaming normally quickly! For this please follow the steps below, and hopefully you should not run into this again. 

 

  • Hard Reboot the headset
    1. Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound
    2. If the boot-up sound is not heard:
      • Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
      • Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
      • Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
  • Factory reset - What this will do is reset the device to a "like-new" state, wiping all information and data off the device. Some of this data can be restored by enabling Cloud Backups beforehand; however, keep in mind that while Cloud Backup is available to all Meta Quest developers, it's up to developers to decide whether to enable this feature for their app and what data is backed up. You can find which installed apps have Cloud Backups enabled on the Cloud Backups page of your Meta account profile. Once you've set up Cloud Backups, ensure your device is fully charged, then proceed with the directions found in the Meta Store Help Center. If you need any further assistance, please reach back out and we would be happy to assist you with this process.​

I fell asleep 😞

But it seems like the issue MAY have been solved? I cant really remember since I played yesterday night and I did have a FEW problems? For safety I'll reboot my VR but not factory reset since its quite the pain to get everything set up, thanks for the help!
