Greetings fellow Questers,
I've been trying to cast, for the sake of livestreaming, my Meta Quest 2 video. Between the home hub screen and Stranger Things VR, frames keeps freezing choppily and video pixelation occurs more or less often when casting to either Edge or Chrome on my Windows 11 PC or Steam Deck OLED. This is using 5Ghz connection that goes up to 180 mbps download and 30 upload. Having previously contacted Meta Store Support, I've also been able to determine that disabling my antivirus Malwarebytes helped slightly but not by much as I still encounter the odd video issue as described. At this point, I feel I've tired every troubleshoot I can attempt and am just over trying to get this headset to do something without digging in deeper. Any other ideas before I seek a return from my Amazon reseller?
Thank you,
~JBJblaze

Hey there! Thank you for reaching out, many factors can play into choppy casting to your PC browser. We know how important it can be, especially for streamers and content creators, and we would love to see if we can provide some further suggestions to help out!
First, are you having the same casting quality if you cast to the mobile app, or perhaps a compatible TV via Chromecast? Or only when casting to the web? We also would like to know if this has always been the issue, or if quality has gone down more recently.
Next, we recommend double checking your router setting, some routers may limit devices on the Wi-Fi in order to share the bandwidth, or otherwise have their own settings that could cause lag and quality issues when casting. Or just not support the feature well. (Casting to a TV or your mobile app may help clarify if this is an issue or not!)
Lastly, if you have a dual band or mesh network, that can also cause various issues, we recommend ensuring you are using a 5Ghz or better network, in the same room or close to the router, with mesh nodes disabled to ensure as direct of a connection as possible.
Let us know if anything changes, and we would love to review further to see how we can help! You can also send us a message directly at any time from our Profile Page.

You're welcome and thank you for your response! I've never bothered with casting to anything besides my computer browser. I've just now, however, tried casting to my Meta Quest app (up to date on both my headset and app) and got the following message:
Considering all this difficulty, I have just resorted to—and have been approved by the reseller for—a return on this headset. Methinks I'll just wait for a simpler solution for casting.
Thanks again!
