I've had the Oculus for months now, and I've been playing it with a breeze. I've had such a fun time with it and it's acted perfectly. Today, it no longer works acceptably. When I get into it, there's a tremendous frame lag. As I look around, everything skips around rather than moving seamlessly. What gives?
worked GREAT 18 hours ago and before. No new software, No new updates, No new drivers, No changes. My Graphics card rests at 39c before starting oculus and reaches about 43 after running a game with it, so it isn't overheating. My CPU usage doesn't go above 60% while running a simple app like bigscreen which still shows the studdering and it's literally sickening. This problem persists even in the home environment before loading up a game.
If there has been no graphical changes, no settings manipulated, no updates to my graphics card, no overheating, and not anything more graphic intensive then the very oculus home app, then why is it so terrible today as opposed to 18 hours ago being smooth and crisp?

Exact same problem. Got the headset early last spring, worked fine for a few months and then one day suddenly video stutter. No hardware or software changes. I spent the next 2 months going through the wringer with support and literally researching and trying EVERYTHING I could find or think of. Support didnt really want to RMA because my computer technically doesn't match the recommended specs (only thing Im not in compliance with is the USB ports). After spending about $800 on upgrades and ready to drop another $800 suddenly one day the stutters stopped as mysteriously as they appeared. Now two months of smooth game play later the video stutters are back as of last week... I guess I just wait for them to magically go away again in a couple more months?
