Hi, Virtual Desktop tells me now after the most recent update unable to validate identity, make sure I'm logged into my oculus account on my phone and to reset my quest. Others have had this problem earlier in the year and it was acknowledged but there is no clear fix for this. I wish there were an answer and I wasn't so upset and disappointed with this because this seems like something that is very simple and easy enough for a computer to know to check something and verify it. The details are more disappointing than enlightening because I've been going in circles installing the oculus app on different devices while the pairing code doesn't work for each one. I paired the phone eventually with the oculus with the pin that didn't work for other oculus device setups. I've looked at possible fixes like clearing cache and force stopping oculus, of course restarting the quest and re-pairing the phone to the quest, reinstalling everything be it virtual desktop on pc and quest and the oculus app for confirmation including deleting old files in program files, looking at enabling MTP through side quest ADB to allow a connection to the oculus app and quest, trying an older version, restoring my pc which didn't work because I kept clearing things that I thought might interfere, changing public to private Wi-Fi connection. None of these things merits the simplicity of knowing the device should connect because it is asking me to do something it hasn't done in order for it to work, This is really nonsense, I'm coming to expect this more and more from programmers and those going into the way of Microsoft security. I know what m asking for it should be fairly clear. Virtual Desktop is putting an obstacle in the way of me using it and this is something I paid for and is being taken away from me for no real reason on my part. There was screen scrambling and I had to reinstall and update which wasn't happening by the program. Its not my job to maintain or have to find solutions to things in updates that protect something that I paid for on my own. This is unfair. Can someone please help me solve this....
