Virtual Desktop will not connect

I bought VD to connect to my macbook Air. It connected the first time I tried and I had a play around with it, to have a proper in depth go this week.

 

I now try to connect to the mac and it says connecting but then flashes up disconnect then disconnects.

 

I would expect an app that cost me almost £20 would simply work.

 

Does anyone have any ideas or is there a way of contacting VD directly?

At Meta Quest Support we know how great the experiences are which Virtual Desktop provides, so we certainly don't want you to miss out on any of these!

 

Before we guide you through some steps to try, please ensure that:

• Your computer is wired with Gigabit Ethernet cable to a 5 GHz router
• Your computer is running the latest version of macOS
• UPnP is enabled on your router to support remote connections via internet

 

Once you have double checked these settings, don't hesitate to let us know and if the issue persists, we will be happy to provide you with some further guidance. Hope to hear back from you soon!

Hi and thanks for your reply.

My mac is not connected via ethernet cable but I have super fast wifi. Added to that, when I first installed VD, it worked just fine.

The main reason for buying the Quest 3 was so I can use the VD through it as I need a few screens but do not have the desk space.

For us to narrow down our investigation, can you confirm for us if you have connected your PC to your headset via Quest Link using a cable or if you have established a connection via Air Link? Additionally, does this loss of connection occur with any other PCVR apps or are you only experiencing this issue with Virtual Desktop?
