I have read some posts here and there and found out, that Quest3 supports USB-Ethernet Adapter.
After some tests, the best adapter ist this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0C3GHBLB6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works great, i can charge my quest at gaming and if i start at 95%...play a hour....i end at 95%.
It´s a absolut stable connection without interferences and i can use godlike with 500mbps!
(measured is ~480mbps, but 500mbps works without any problem)
For me the best PCVR link/experience i can get!
For use you need:
-developer account
-activated USB debugging
-DHCP in Router
Short summary:
-turn off WLAN in Quest 3
-LAN cable to router <> adapter
-PD to adapter
-Adapter to Quest 3
-Turn on and check if the store is loading without WLAN, then you know, it´s working
Greetings....ah, and if a meta developer read this: PLEASE DON`T TURN OFF THIS FEATURE!

Jumping through all those hoops compared to just using a Link cable doesn't make any sense to me. I get great results with both my Q3 and QPro/rtx4090 using my official link cable connected to my z790mb usb3.2 type-c port at 650mbps. also maintains my headset battery at ~90% for a very long time. Even the VD developer in his discord channel doesn't recommend this. Oh well, as long as you're having fun trying out these sort of things, that's great I guess.

This is an alternative if you don't have a USB-C connection or your USB-A port does not match the speeds of USB-C 3.2.

OK, got that, thanks. Still going to require a pretty good cpu/gpu I guess.

VD offer me better optics as Link/Airlink, because resolution of VD is higher and sharpening filter is better.
....and MSFS has a much better performance with VDXR.

@Andis3D Each to their own but I get better results with msfs using either my Q3 or Pro/rtx4090 with my official link cable and 650mbps bitrate. Better clarity, smoother performance, and lower latency. I’m not saying I can’t get very good results with VD (godlike, ax1, vdxr) just best with Link, for me anyway.

Then use Link, I didn't say you had to use VD.
I do it precisely because of the advantages you list here and i have compared both. 😉

You did say VD is better than both Air Link and even Link. I'm just making a point that not everyone, including myself, find VD significantly better than Air Link, and for sims like msfs, many find that Link works better. With any wireless or wired option settings are very important in order to get the best out of any of these, and to be able to properly compare results. For those that can't be bothered to learn how to properly use the oculus debug tool and meta link pc app, I will say that VD is easier to setup and does give very good wireless results.
Like I already said, each to their own, use whatever you feel works best for you.

This is about turning a normal wireless connection into a wired connection.
This means you can set VD to maximum without any problems and have no latency.
And again: VD offers a higher resolution and a better sharpness filter, plus you have VDXR.
p.s. H264+ is 500mbps. 😉

@Andis3D ps I use 650mbps h264 with Link, lol! Also, 7-10ms less latency than wireless vdxr. Also, with the right settings, like super sampling,, I can get as good clarity/resolution as VD.
Sorry but I kinda get tired of VD fanboys overselling VD. One reason I don't even bother posting on Reddit anymore. However, I'm not saying VD isn't a good wireless option, but I can get pretty well as good wireless results with Air Link at 200mbps dynamic bitrate (h.265/hevc). Saying one wireless system is significantly better than the other is nonsense imho.
If this VD wired w/adapters option was that good, all msfs users would be doing this imho. Anyway, if it works well for you that’s great. Since this discussion is all getting way too off topic I'll sign off now. Good luck mate, bye, and cheers.

Then I'm glad we were able to clear that up.
I just want to inform you that it is possible, because most people probably don't even know that.
And they should decide for themselves whether this is something for them or not.
