My meta quest 3 can receive voice messages but can't send them. My friends say there should be a sqiggle line next to message but there isn't. What's wrong with my headset

We're sorry to hear this is happening to you, we know how frustrating it can be sometimes to not send a voice message. Since the "People App" has no icon to send voice messages what we recommend is to file a Bug Report, please see here how to do it.

Is your friend using the Quest 3 or another Meta headset?
Have you considered visiting your settings to check if your microphone is on?
Have you been able to send voice messages before?

I am having the same issue. The icon to send voice messages on my Quest 3 is missing. I can receive voice messages from my friends using their Quest 2's & 3's. I am able to use the voice to text feature, but the voice message icon that should be to the left of the text input box is missing. I have never been able to send a voice message on my Quest 3, the icon has always been missing. I have changed every setting in all the setting menus, updated, hard rebooted, and factory reset the headset. Nothing has made the voice icon appear.

This is the case for me on my Quest 3 and Quest 2, as well as my Wife's Quest 3.
Is Meta really THIS unaware of what features they have enabled, and whether or not their "enabling" these features is actually functioning? I'm suffering from second-hand embarrassment. smh
