Vr Air Bridge Disables Wi-Fi connection

Jacken85

Hello,
I purchased D-Link Vr Bridge and it worked fine the first time I set it up, but after a computer restart, it disables my main Wi-Fi card and I lose the internet connection. Unplugging it from the USB port and plugging back in doesn't fix the issue. The only thing that helps is to delete the device and install it again.
Is there a way to set it up to prevent it from happening?

Hi everyone, sorry to bump this old thread though it doesn't look like it was ever resolved.

First the basics:
By default the VR Air Bridge is intended to work like other Air link setups - your PC is connected over Ethernet, the headset uses the WiFi to connect to your PC. This is how Meta Quest Link, Virtual Desktop, Steam Link, etc. are all intended to work - that way you get the best bandwidth/less lag over wireless. The advantage of using the VR Air Bridge is that it's a dedicated WiFi6 network that you're only using with your Quest 2/3/Pro headset, as opposed to using WiFi on your PC and the same WiFi on the headset.

Will it work with your PC connected to a WiFi network AND also using the VR Air Bridge WiFi from your PC to the second WiFi network that it creates? Can you let it pass the Internet connection to your headset? Sure. But you have to bridge (or share) the connections.

Here is a support article on the D-Link website how to do this:

Note this is not a Meta support article (obviously) though should help people who want to do both WiFi and use the VR Air Bridge at the same time. Still, I recommend anyone to get themselves an Ethernet cable and connect your PC directly to your Internet router, your experience with the VR Air Bridge will improve dramatically.
