Wanting to reset and sell

jjlwaters

I bought an Oculus Go a couple of years ago.  I set up an account and used a couple of times.  I never switched over to a Meta account when requested in January 2023 and now I want to sell it.  Can I do this?  If so, how?  Do I need to reset it to delete all my details stored on the headset?  Can I reset it without creating the meta account and I assume I would need to charge it up first?  Any help you can give would be very much appreciated for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing!

If you do a factory reset of the Go, it will be wiped back to the original state when you bought it. Your account and any files will be removed from it. Whoever buys it will need to make an account and set it up.

Have a look here for how to factory reset: https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/articles/headsets-and-accessories/oculus-go-and-gear-vr/go-rem...

You can do it with just the headset (don't need the mobile app or a meta account) by holding certain buttons while turning it on to get into a special menu where you can pick the factory reset option.
