Please try the following:
Uninstalling the application then downloading it again
Please manually check the headset for any updates? To do this,
Put on the headset and open the "Settings" menu.
Select "See All" and then hit "About."
If an update is available, it'll display beside the headset's version information at the top of the screen. Click on the install button to begin the update.

A serious question. Do the support people not experience these things? While the original post mentioned VRChat it is not a VRChat issue. It happens on the Quest 2 all the time, almost every day and several times a day.
Nothing about reinstalling or rebooting is going to fix it as far as I can tell. If you use a Quest you must see some of these issues right?
I'll bet the "did you reboot the headset" type answers annoys most users as it would you if you were having trouble with some appliance you bought.
Hey there! Looking through forums there are a few users with this issue. However, it only seems to be in VR chat for now for now I recommend submitting a bug with VR chat. As well as a bug with the device and I will see if I find anything on this.
Hmm... I use VRChat but that message appears in the notifications when I start the headset not when I access VRChat. I know I see the message very day lately and I believe more than once.
Going on multiple years now, I have multiple bugs with fundamental Meta Horizons chat features. Starting with two corrupted group chat discussions. Every time I load the chat app the conversations instantly disappear before I can select them to view or delete.
This data corruption problem happens on every client I've tried: Android, iOS, Quest 2, and Quest 3.
This happens with a fresh app install on a fresh OS install.
My unread badge count is now permanently two or higher. I cannot read or delete these conversations.
Blocking members of the chat groups has no effect.
The app does not appear to have a control UI to unblock people.
The quality of the Oculus system has fallen off the rails. There's no way to Select All videos then Unsync And Delete All videos. If the disk warning goes unheeded then the headset fails to boot.
