Well Meta didn't think this through on Airlink

Well tried to connect to airlink and it keeps wanting me to pair with my PC.  unless you have a monitor connected your out of luck.  there is no way to pair your PC.

An if you want to tell me to use Remote-desktop...well i tried that too. the moment you are in remote desktop you can click on the button to verify the pair code.   but you have to then close remote desktop to see the pair code back in the headset.  And Yep  the headset does not let you click to verify...you can only close.

So unless you have a monitor you are @#$%

fix this Meta!!!

Ya, I get that.  Just hard for me to imagine running a high end win11 gaming pc in VR-only, without a monitor.

Edit;  After a bit more thought;

I don't see Meta being able to get away from pairing with Air Link, nor am I sure if Link would allow you to do this.  Maybe try other alternative wireless options like Virtual Desktop and/or Steam Link.

Otherwise, I guess your best bet may be to get a non-Quest headset.  Probably one with a dedicated Display Port like the Valve Index or Pimax Crystal.  Apparently you can run these without a PC monitor if you add a dongle to one of your GPU ports to make it think that there is a PC monitor installed.  Up to you to search for all that.  Good luck mate and cheers.

@Randallyz450f  All PCVR headsets that I'm aware of require you to have a monitor connected to your PC.  Pretty hard to imagine someone with a decent gaming PC (even a laptop), spec'd for PCVR, would not have a monitor imho.

not when you are setting up a Full VR system which is in my case

Well I mean .... as Tom pointed out ... literally all PCVR systems require you to have a monitor. How exactly do you expect Meta to fix YOU not having a montior ?
