What do I need to be able to run my Oculus on my Mac OS High Sierra? Can the Akitio Node 3 do it?

So I just bought an Oculus Rift. I have bootcamp Windows 10 installed. When I tried installing AMD Crimson Relive I got error 1603 and 163

So I read that I can buy an external gpu, which will solve my "update graphics driver" problem. So I read that Akitio Node TB3 is the best solution, but do I also need an egpu; Radeon RX 58? Or is the Akitio Node enough to power the Oculus alone?

How do I connect the Akitio Node TB3, my late 2015 27" IMac and my Oculus Rift together? Where do which hdmi, usb and Thunderbolt connect to? For example: does the Oculus hdmi connect to the Akitio Node or to the IMac?

If I am wrong, what exactly do I need to be able to run my Oculus Eift on Mac OS High Sierra?

Ok, then, this is just wonderful. The Oculus works perfectly (so far) on my iMac 2017. I had to buy 3 HDMI to USB-C adapters before finding the good one, and the winner is... the APPLE one... just go to an APPLE STORE and buy the adapter there, don’t bother... it works perfectly ! When others are giving back flicking video signal.

this one? https://www.apple.com/au/shop/product/MJ1K2AM/A/usb-c-digital-av-multiport-adapter?fnode=85&fs=f%3Dhdmi%26fh%3D459d%252B3058

there's a belkin one on there too. and i've read somewhere that apple used to sell the moshi one too.

SO happy to read of another imac user having success, i live in hope of finding the right dongle....

Yes this one, the adaptor sold by APPLE under its own brand, with extra usb and power port. After a few days, trying several adapters... with different type of flicking in the HMD as a result, I was really happy to

Has anyone found a working alternative to Apple's HDMI to USB C converter? I'm currently using a MOKiN converter. It "works" but it's glitchy--red and blue horizontal lines and some color shifting/blurriness. Would love to find a working converter that isn't $70...

Thanks!

I went out and bought Apple’s newest USB C to HDMI adapter. Doesn’t work. I’ll try to find the older model you suggested and let you guys know if it works.
