Hi all, all though oculus rift works fine and the games , the oculus software is saying “my pc doesn’t meet the minimum requirements”..even though I have RTX 3080 ...AMD 3900X 32GB ram lol..just upgraded from i5 7400 Nvidia 1070 and that didn’t complain lol..

Usually takes a month or two, buying a new video card at launch often is not a good idea - Oculus needs time to update their software - and helping the extremely few early 3080 adopters probably isn't a high priority. 2c.

My oculus rift has stopped working since getting a 3080. I'm not even able to open any games. Does anyone have the same issue?
Does Oculus Home work? Does SteamVR work?

Their system just checks against a text file of compatible cards, they just need to update that file, it will have no effect on your experience other than that blue bar disappearing. It's probably priority last considering almost nobody at all could get those cards and that's still the case today and will probably be the case well into 2021, so it's like it doesn't even exist, why rush on it?
As Lorraine mentioned in her previous responses, this card is not yet supported for this device. That doesn't mean it's not powerful enough to run VR, just that there may be compatibility issues with the graphics drivers.
As she said, I believe your best solution would be to attempt to reach out to NVidia for any potential solutions they may have, or potentially attempt to rollback the driver to an older version.
Aside from that, unfortunately we cannot guarantee functionality with a graphics card that is not officially compatible with our products. No. The display on the oculus rift doesn't turn on in any of the applications that I've tried. Even the less intensive apps.
Thanks, but that's terrible :# I hope it'll be fixed soon, I can't buy any new Nvidia gpu before I know that my beloved CV1 will work flawlessly.

I have a RTX-3080 and it works just fine with link for me. Actually, you will need a RTX3080, RTX3090 to even think of reaching 1.7X resolution and even then some games I have to drop it especially at 90Hz.
