White horizontal stripe across screen while using link

Headset seems to work fine stand-alone.  I use the headset with IRacing, and often (not always) get a translucent horizontal stripe across the screen after about 15 minutes or so.  It doesn't feel like the headset is overheating.  This doesn't show up on the screen mirror on PC, or if I "mirror" with the debug tool.  Is this likely a failing display or is there somewhere else I should look?

Of course, I agree it's rather a workaround than solution or fix, because we can't use AirLink and there is a problem with sound. I use my link cable to play simulation games when I'm seated in front of my wheel or HOTAS, but I really like the AirLink when I'm playing  Skyrim VR, Onward, Blade & Sorcery... So I would like to be able to switch between the two 🙂

That's why I said that people should continue to write tickets and ask for a real fix from the oculus. Because I think this is a real problem, that already takes too long to be resolved, and so much people are affected by it.
Btw nice poem XD ❤️

No I didn't, I tried to get in contact with them, but I didn't yet get an answer. And even if I get it I think it will be something like ''Reinstall oculus software, change USB port'', or they will say that problem is not on their end, and they will blame Steam and other way around.

I have a support case ongoing with them... I refered this to this forum post and explained that i have already tried all troubleshooting steps and there is an issue with thier software. The case is ongoing and atm i'm just getting the generic have you tried this, have you tried that responses >.>. I'm getting ready to just have up for a valve index i thinks lol

I'm not sure, I will check this tonight. I don't really play in 120HZ, so I didn't pay attention.

according to online i think its version 28 that gets 120HZ. Still, 90HZ is ok, i havent been able to properly play my games for months so playing at 90HZ is a small sacrificed to play VR properly again.

I agree, I'm just happy that I can play my games with no lag and in good visual quality.
But as I already said we need to test this for few days, to be sure that it really works.
So be sure to report your results 🙂

Thanks a lot SerHyo for your post about the workaround which is working for you.

I'm not sure I will try it, because the problem appeared for the first time with V24 release (for me), I had no issue with V23, but It started with V24...

I would have to find a way to return to V23, airlink is perfect from time to time, but I use my Quest 2 statically much more often for flight or driving simulators, and in this case I much prefer to be linked by cable. So going back to an old version is not a problem for me.

I just tried, unfortunately it didn't work, had the white bars in less than 1 minute in project cars 2

I've been using the Virtual Desktop app (from the Quest app store) to make an AirLink-like connection to my PC and play my Steam VR games. I have not had the white stripe issue pop up and have played for 2-3 hours non-stop at times. no noticeable lag/delay (40ms) and pretty good visual clarity (120fps). honestly, I can barely tell the difference between this and the official Oculus Link. I still keep my Quest tethered through a cable for prolonged battery life, though. sure, it's not a fix or a solution, but it's an alternative for now. at least I can play my games again! 😅 hope this helps somehow.

I should mention: I used a tutorial on YouTube on how to find my optimal settings for a high framerate and minimal delay.

I’m having exact same issues. I’ve tried turning all my overclocks off but I’m also getting the same issue in same place on my headset. Silly question but can you post a picture of your usb section in device manager? I want to co

pare it with mine and with my friends rig (who is working fine on link) and see if there is a pattern here
