Headset seems to work fine stand-alone. I use the headset with IRacing, and often (not always) get a translucent horizontal stripe across the screen after about 15 minutes or so. It doesn't feel like the headset is overheating. This doesn't show up on the screen mirror on PC, or if I "mirror" with the debug tool. Is this likely a failing display or is there somewhere else I should look?

I'm sorry to hear that 😞
I've been playing last night and again this morning for 2 hours each time, and didn't have a problem.
I hope it will stay like that until its fixed 😕

Yes, but I think nobody has problem with this while playing on VD or AirLink . This happens only when using link cable.
Thank you for the tutorial, I will check it out since virtual desktop has really poor quality in my case.

I will try to do this tonight if I have time. In the meantime did you try a workaround that I posted?

this problem only happens with USB. it has to do with the encoding used to transfer video through USB. Some motherboards doesn't have this issue, like my older dell laptop, but is too weak for VR.
Using it wireless is not a solution. I don't want to buy a new router just for VR and still have to use cable anyway because of the battery, it's ridiculous.

I have the same motherboard for almost 3 years now and the problem first occured only few months ago.

Ok something to check: Is your link cable running close to power chords or extensions or anything? Mine was running over an extension chord thingie, and since I lead the cable away from it my white bar hasn't shown in 45 minutes of playing PC2. Of course a bit short to make any conclusions but it's worth checking. Could be an interferance issue.

mine is not getting any power interference from any extention cords or anything but i am still esperiencing the issue. 😞

So i decided to give this a whirl to see what would happen. initally it all worked but i could not load any games. the oculus software prompted me to update the "drivers" to continue. it then updated the software back to V33 >.>. that being said... it all seems to be working as intended atm!! Oculus home will not actually start (where the issue starts spopearing for me) but everything else and all other games now load in with no pink strip!!!! i'm gonna do a couple hours of testing and report my findings but at this stage it seems im good to go baby!!!!
