Headset seems to work fine stand-alone. I use the headset with IRacing, and often (not always) get a translucent horizontal stripe across the screen after about 15 minutes or so. It doesn't feel like the headset is overheating. This doesn't show up on the screen mirror on PC, or if I "mirror" with the debug tool. Is this likely a failing display or is there somewhere else I should look?

Yeah, it's nothing but an insult and a spit in the face.
Remember when @Ryanality and @OculusSupport told us they were looking into this issue? That was 6 months ago, and "support" wrote:
"We want to let you know to keep an eye out on your email as we are working hard to figure this issue out! "

I can confirm downgrading to v24 helps. This is clear evidence the bug is within Oculus desktop software itself. It's a bummer we have to resort to using such an old version and not have features like link sharpening available, but at least it's working now. Changing brightness to the minimum doesn't help. Seeing how they've ignored this issue for a long time makes me skeptical this will ever be resolved. I'm seriously considering buying a different HMD..

I agree Jakubito, I think they will never take hands to resolve this issue, because people "on the help desk" does not talk to "developers" so... the only chance is that a developer read this ... and this matter cares to him.... dont think that is gona happen...
Anyway ... maybe we can start talking about our next HMD and keep growing this thread so maybe they start to care now. Which are ours options to buy a really bad ass and working VR headset (wireless obviously) in almost mid 2022?

Its strange that that was a fix for you to downgrade. As i have recently had the issue on the latest update, but fixed it by one of - opting out of public beta/changing encode res width in debug tool/changing 90hz to 80hz and back to 90hz. And now not had the issue since (And i sim race for like 3 hours at least a night) on the latest update, which suggests there is something else thats causing the issues somewhere. it 100% needs to be addressed and not palmed off by support as this is clearly a long standing problem now and a "Log a ticket" response isnt very satisfactory after 66 pages of issues on a forum.

I don't know about you but I'll keep hounding them 'til the end of time. I suggest everyone does the same. Also make sure to file new support tickets continuously.

Jag ska prova avinstallera Steam VR ikväll och prova .

How do you downgrade to v24?
I just started having this issue and im not tech savvy, so if your able to let me know how this works, That would be incredibly helpful.

PC app v38 & firmware v38 don't solve this problem.
BTW, developers know this problem. But they still don't find what the factors are.

Aware of it but not dealing with it. That's clearly how Oculus operates.
