Why Meta can't ship as quick as Amazon or other retailers?

Hi, so to cut a long story short, I have been waiting for Meta to dispatch the Quest 3 I ordered, and I was looking for clarification on why it could be taking so long.  The money has left my account, been processed according to Meta, and 2 business days later it still hasn't dispatched. I'm in the UK if that means anything to those in the know. 

What has your experience been like? How long did it take for Meta to go from, taking your money to dispatching your Quest? 

I just don't get how Amazon and my local shops can get the quest 3 to me within 24hrs yet Meta can't even dispatch the item in that time frame. 

Any info on what the delay is about would be great, as the est. delivery is tomorrow, which I had kind of banked on as I'm away from the day after and will have to try arrange someone to be here to take delivery, this is why I'm asking.

First, thanks for reaching out to me so quickly, its appreciated to get a response so quickly.

Secondly I know that delays are most often outside of any ones control, and can be evitable when a product is in high demand. 

My only issue was as I am away from tomorrow, the 26th, I would need to arrange someone to be here to take delivery of the products. 

For your clarity the shipping has been updated and I now know when I need to have someone here so the crisis have been averted so to speak. 

I will mark the accept solution so this ticket/thread can be archived and no follow ups will be needed to this enquiry.
