Why can't +86 phone receive SMS verification code?

I'm a quest3 user. And this is a very serious problemfor me and others who use +86 phone number. My meta account can't log in, because when I try to get the SMS verification code, it will always be :You've requested too many codes. Please try again later.

So I signed up for this new account to give feedback. My original account can't log in now.

We know how important it is to be able to access your account.  When you receive an error message that says you've requested too many codes, we highly suggest waiting for 24 hours before requesting a new code and trying again.

I have the same problem.

I use +86 phone number.

My meta account can't log in, because I can't receive SMS verification code.But I could  receive SMS verification code 2 months ago.

So I signed up for this new account to give feedback. My original account can't log in now. 

Please help me.

I think this is a meta problem, many people complain that they get the error message "you requested too many codes", yesterday I also had this problem. I was able to solve this problem by disabling two-factor authentication by phone number in meta horizon, although I fell into another trap, I cannot return two-factor authentication by number. I would recommend that you include the authentication method "Authentication app" in the meta horizon, it is included in <avatar button -> three dots -> account -> password and security -> two-factor authentication>. And go in already using this method

Thanks! But my original account can't log in now. How can I  include the authentication method "Authentication app" in the meta horizon ?

With the help of official personnel, I have already solved the problem. The specific steps are as follows, hoping to help you: 1. Send a private message to MetaQuestSupport, describing the basic problem. He will help you report and request basic account information. 3. Official personnel requested necessary information via email for account data recovery. 4. Provide relevant information and wait for processing. 5. Official personnel will provide a recovery code for logging in. 5. Disable two factor authentication after logging in
