Hey I feel your pain. It says Coming Soon for me as well, and I know for sure I have a squeaky clean record.

I don't know exactly why there are holdups on gaining access, but I know there are a ton of things they are still working out. I've seen new and old users gain access, lose it, gain it back. Previously there was an issue where Worlds were being assigned to other creators that they did not create.

The system is full of needed fixes so it's no wonder that it's not available for everyone yet.

If you are in the US or Canada and are over 18 and still have not been able to access Horizon Worlds after 48 hours of activating your headset, you can report a bug using the Horizon Worlds feedback tool. There you can submit feedback about issues you are experiencing, including giving product suggestions and requests.

Just a few things you can double check:

  • Are you in North America?
  • Are you 18+?
  • Try Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Quest app
  • Check if you are using a VPN or special internet setup, or on normal Wi-Fi trying to access Horizon

I also recommend that you DO NOT create a secondary FB account as some have suggested. It violates Community Standards. You can read more about the policy here: Facebook help center

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

So after a whole day of getting the run around and chats with uninformed oculus support i finally figured it out. If your account has been restricted one too many times it will not allow you to "get" it will continue to say "coming soon" create a new fb account and link it to oculus (you can have more than 1 profile) and try to download horizon worlds from your new account, then it will let you download with no problem. Apparently they don't want to tell us this because they're trying to make sure only upstanding fb citizens join. While acting like fb won't throw you in jail over the smallest of things and they still haven't figured out how to keep obnoxious , loud, disrespectful kids out though

This may be the reason I'm having the same problem. I thought creating a 2nd FB account was not permitted?

It’s been about 4 months and I still have not been able to download worlds. Instead of saying install it says add to wish list. I play on a oculus quest 2 and I just want to play with my friends in the meta verse. Help will be appreciated

Facebook bans are definitely the reason, I agree. Wife and friend bought Quest 2's within a week of me getting mine, they're both able to download Horizon Worlds without issue.

Crazy that they prevent you from downloading a video game because of "offenses" on social media. I've been in FB jail a few times for ridiculous things, and now I'm banned from Horizon Worlds before I can even get it? I'm hoping when v43 and meta accounts roll out, that disconnecting from Facebook solves the problem. I've never been banned in any video game, ever. I haven't even been in Facebook jail for quite some time, which is leading me to believe it's a permanent ban if a Facebook account will always be involved.

Laughing at the cause of two of my FB jail stints. One I posted a GIF with ZERO text, none. Got a notice I was "violating community standards - spam." Another ban I wrote "that's absurd" in reply to someone and got thrown in FB jail for bullying. Absolutely asinine.

I can’t download it either here in the uk,says coming soon, about 6 months ago I did download it and played on it for a few hours, but then there was no sign of it on my headset the day after and it’s been coming soon ever since despite it being released in the uk a good few months ago

I once got a 30 day ban for sharing something I saw on Facebook, how the hell does that work ?

I am in the middle east and also can't download it,  says coming soon too.

Still need help?
