Why does it freeze ??

I'm having an issue. I've tried to play about 4 different games. Im not sure if it's a tracking issue or not. When I first purchased it it didnt do this but I am now on my 2nd week with it. For example I will play Swords of Gargantua and it will run fine but after a few minutes the game screen will freeze and when I look around it's like looking at a screen with a black border the sound continues to loop and nothing happens till I hold the power and  reboot.  What's going on with my Quest??.

I havent dropped it, and the boundary I use is greater than 6.5x6.5
Never had contact with sunlight.
I have done nothing that could physically harm the oculus.

Do you turn it off or just put it to sleep? A full shutdown/ restart may help.

Has there been a change in the ambient temperature where you play? If it's hotter than usual that can affect performance. High humidity and dust can also cause problems with electronics.

Is your storage space full? Having very little storage space can be a problem.

Is all of your software up to date? Make sure there's no updates available for your games and that your Quest has the latest firmware (version 13).

Have you got a stable internet connection? An internet connection that drops out, even for a second, can disrupt some games.

If none of those is the problem, it could be a software bug. All you can do is wait for a patch.

I have the 128g. Always turn it off. And yes I have a stable connection. But it could be the games and tracking controller. For example if I swing a sword out of the tracking range and press a button it will do that. Since I have posted this it hasnt done it yet. Maybe I should wait for a patch. I appreciate you coming up with what could be the issue I will been keen to keeping an eye on conditions I'm in and the surrounding.

Having the same issue. I’ve found it doesn’t freeze when I turn Wi-Fi off, or when I hotspot from my phone for some reason
