I honestly can't believe that nearly a year after the release of this card I'm still getting really poor performance using anything Oculus.
Can someone from support tell me why I'm still getting a message saying that my 'flagship' graphics card doesn't meet minimum specifications when trying to run Oculus software on my PC?

Clearly on Meta's end, they don't show AMD 7000 Series to be supported.

Will you have support for 7000 series? I really don't want to spend $1200 for 16GB vram 😞

AMD 6000 Series - has support. AMD 7000 Series - the same thing, but even more powerful and therefore should give better performance in VR. 7900 XTX - SHOULD be supported. If not, well, it's purely Meta incompetence.
Guys, you know how to disappoint VERY much.
I was hoping to play Horizon on a Quest, but for now waiting for his support (I'm from the CIS). Years have passed! I managed to buy Quest 2, play enough of..Horizon like.. games like VRChat and RecRoom. And even buying Quest 3, I still don't have access to Horizon! WTF?
Just be.. more competent and quick!
No need for excuses and tricks.
Or even your most loyal supporters/users will have switch to other VR headsets...
(I apologize for my English)

Yea, Horizon is region locked. I live in norway and i can't even play the damned game.
Btw, what did you mean by you're from the CIS. Do you mean the Center for Internet Security?

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)
Kyrgyzstan to be more precise 🙂

I have the same message...
5900X CPU / 7900XTX GPU 32GB DDR4 4000 and NVMe / SATA SSD drives... (so not exactly a slug!)
The warning that my PC isn't compatible is annoying!
I now have the Quest 3 (as well as 2) and like the difference in clarity - but Meta / Oculus really should bring their PC software into the 21st century!

hello,
Same config as RattyUK. Please update Oculus software ASAP. It is a shame that a hig end GPU like this is not supported by META. 7900XTX is a beast and AMD drivers have been updated forVR in July 2023. Now it is your turn....

Is there a plan to add support to the 7000 series GPUs?

Hey everyone! We're definitely excited about the capabilities and how powerful the 7000 series AMD cards can be for PCVR! While we can't currently confirm the possibility for support through the Oculus software for 7000 series cards at the moment, we encourage you to stay up to date on our blog for any changes and updates in the meantime! While we may not officially support 7000 series cards, we've seen cases in the past where players were able to use them without any issues.

I am sorry but it did not even cross my mind you would not support flagship GPU. I just found out hard way today. All is rendered at low res. Looks awefull. I am glad I waited with Quest 3 upgrade that I shall not go for unless this is resolved. I am sure we are clear that fault is with Oculus and not AMD drivers.
