Why is my quest 2 dying faster then it used to

TinyIronGaming

So I've had my quest 2 for about a year'ish now. and for the first 2-3 months it would last a good 2-3 hours before it died but for the past few months now I can barely get an hour's playtime even when i start at 100%. Me and my friend have tested this multiple times, we will both get on at the exact same time an after just under an hour my headset would be at 13% or lower and his would still be at 40-50%. anyone know how or what could be causing this or could it maybe be a faulty battery? any help would be appreciated, thank you.

LOL I mean if you want to contact support, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to look into your options! I've never heard of someone receiving just a battery though 🤔

I had my oculus 2 for 3 years and my headset battery keeps dying for 1 hour and I have no idea why.

We understand how important it is for you to make the most out of your gaming sessions, so we're here to assist you! i have only had it for 5 months and i get roughly an hour pls help

Hey @NebulaVR2013! Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with the Quest 2 battery life. We know it's no fun to not be able to use our devices to their full capacity so we would love to help getting this issue resolved for you. With that being said, please verify the following information for us to better investigate the cause of the problem.

  • Are you using charging cables and adapters other than the official charging cable/adapter?
  • Have you left the headset plugged in for days or weeks at a time ?
  • Battery life will vary depending on use. Some features, such as increasing the refresh rate, may consume more power depleting the battery faster. Has any setting for frame rate been changed?

We're looking forward to hearing from you soon. Have a wonderful rest of your day!
