In the case where you need to disable the guardian, you are more likely to need to use passthrough. Otherwise you are forced to lift the headset to orient yourself or do anything that you could have simply used passthrough for. Automatically disabling passthrough feels like punishment for disabling the guardian. Could we PLEASE just get a toggle for just disabling the boundary and leave passthrough enabled?
Sometimes I want to use my room scale guardian, and sometimes I want to sit at my desk without a boundary in my face. When I'm at my desk I want to use passthrough, but I also don't want to be locked to one place then have to get permission to move from the annoying guardian again. Naturally, I would just disable the boundary, (because nobody needs a boundary at all while seated) then enable it again if I need it while standing. But currently, the only way for me to keep the passthrough features in this case is to create an unsafe boundary with extra space for my desk.
It is so frustrating that this feature gets removed in a case where it is actually needed more. What was the logic behind it? Is there a legitimate reason for this? I would bet money that this has caused injuries and damages because users couldn't check passthrough with their guardian disabled. It actually seems quite dangerous. Please fix this ASAP.

Could somebody at least acknowledge this?

I don't see any reason for the insistence to switch to private messages.
Could you explain the further information here on the forum for others to see as well please?

Okay so there wasn't any further information, and it was just a poor design choice. Got it. I was hoping I was just missing something.

You 're not, that decision was made somehow, somewhere by somebody and now nobody wants to correct it.
It would make a huge part of their audience happy but no, it has to be unpractical.

I would like to know if there are plans to fix this anytime soon.
