Will a Purchased App Work on Multiple Quest Devices with the Same Account?

We are a community college with 40 Meta Quest devices, all logged into the same Meta account. If we purchase an application on this account, will we be able to use it on all 40 devices? We do not have Quest for Business, so we're using standard consumer accounts.

Are there any restrictions on simultaneous usage, licensing, or app-sharing that we should be aware of? We'd appreciate any insights from those who have experience with multiple Quest devices in an educational setting. Thanks!

Thanks. I did google but I wanted some official response from support. Our departments don't want to spend the College's money if it means the apps can't be used. I received a reply from Meta Support on one of my tickets after a long wait shortly after I posted this thread.

understand that you have 32 Meta Quest devices all registered under one account and would like to know if you decide to make a purchase on the account will all 32 devices have access to the purchase and will they all be able to run it simultaneously.

"Kindly note that while all 32 headsets may have access to the purchase due to them all being registered to the same account if you purchase an application for a single account, you won't be able to run it simultaneously on multiple devices using that same account. Meta Quest devices are designed to only allow one account to access games or apps at a time. This means that if multiple devices are logged into the same account and try to use the same paid application, they will encounter issues.

With every Meta account you are able to add three additional users and through this you would then be the primary account and be able to enable app sharing, however even through doing so only one profile can use the shared apps at a time. This means that while all three profiles will have access to the shared apps, they won't be able to play the game simultaneously.

I would however like to provide you with the following link as it relates to Meta Quest devices used in learning environments:

I do hope I provided some clarity on the situation and cleared up any confusion you may have had!"

Mostly fine except that many do not support multiplayer so only one user at a time,  A very little google research would have told you that imho.

i9 13900K water cooled, RTX4090, Z790 MB w/wifi6e, 32Gb 6400 ram, 2x2TB SSD, 1000W PSU, Win 11, QPro, Q3, w/Link and Air Link, Vive Pro1 with 2x2.0 base stations, Etsy lens mod and Index Controllers
