I have a Nest Wifi Pro mesh with 4 points connected to a Verizon Fios CR1000A modem/router (which I'm considering replacing with a 3rd party modem). My PC (RTX 2070 Super GPU) is connected directly to my modem so it doesn't appear on the Nest network & therefore can't use it to connect the Quest 3 to PCVR. (pc internet speeds drop from 900Mbps to 150Mbps when connecting the PC directly to the back of the Nest hub so not an option).
Using the Fios router with only the 6Ghz radio turned on (2.4 & 5 off), with just the PC connected to it (even the WAN line was unplugged), and turning off the Nest network to avoid interference, I'm able to connect with my Quest 3 and get a very low latency high speed connection at a bitrate that ranges from 1700 to 2400 using Virtual Desktop. However, after 10-15 minutes the connection gets high latency causing the image to stutter drastically with black around it making it impossible to even navigate menus. I've also tried Airlink and this stutter exists immediately when connecting.
I don't know if the Verizon Fios modem/router is just poor quality or if there is some other issue. I was able to connect with both Virtual Desktop and Airlink with my previous older Verizon modem/router and my Quest 2. Any suggestion? I'm willing to buy additional hardware to connect wirelessly through PCVR such as the D-Link VR Air Bridge, though that doesn't seem to offer the 6GHz bandwidth.

There are already a couple of threads here about Quest 3 and its poor performance using Airlink. Virtual Desktop helps for some but even with VD I can barely play.

When starting Oculus application it tells me my computer is not meeting the requirements.
My system: i7-13700K, RTX 4070, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD NVMe
So what should I do? What component should I downgrade? Because my old I7-8700k, 1070 meets the requirements according to your app.
None of the components is new. In a few weeks the 14th gen of Intel is expected, and Meta don't manage to update their SW accordingly
I am losing more and more confidence in you guys...

Hello, hello! Thanks for getting back to us! Reviewing this PCVR connection issue further, we saw that you've mentioned using a mesh network, which is not currently compatible with the Meta Quest software. This may be part of the reason why you're running into issues, as well. Most Mesh Networks are likely to cause issues with Air Link as they modulate the connection for the device between the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, which may cause Air Link to be unstable and oftentimes fail to connect. We recommend having the headset connected to Wi-Fi via 5GHz band (AC or AX) and being sure the PC is connected to Router/Access Point via Ethernet cable and not Wi-Fi. With that being said though, you certainly shouldn't be running into that error message with those type of PC specifications, so we'd like to investigate this matter a little more for you. Could you please send us a PM when you get a chance with that specific error message you're encountering? You can select our name to get to our profile page, or click right here. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message. We look forward to hearing from you!
