Wrong Acccount country - Meta support is No goods!

Dear all,

I am really really not happy about META support. I have contacted they multiple time and they are not bring me any solution. Each time I have another person, no replying to my question.

That is why I am writing here.

I am French living in France. I bought a meta quest in January 2025.
This device arrived in France and have never moved from France.
I did a business trip in UAE in February. It is possible that I downloaded and started the Meta app when I was in UAE. I do not remember.

I do not see the referral link in the meta app. Apparentlty that is because my p"redicted country is listed as the United Arab Emirates (AE) ".

They proposed me to make a reset factory.

I did it first trhough the app ==> No change

I then tried with the meta quest (power and vol -  button)

Nothing changed. Maybe I miss something.

I contacted back the support and now they are telling me that I can "activate the localisation of the app". It has nothing to do with my problem.

Please help!!!

@AsToRm111  in your phone settings....did you give the Meta Horizon app the permission for localization?

Thanks you all for the support.

I did not know why but now the see the referral program again.

I do not know if the country of my account has changed but it works. Maybe the support solved it or just time was needed.
